Valentine's Cupcakes

For Valentine's Day I decided to deviate from the traditional pink, red, and white and went with blue and violet. Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting with chocolate hearts. I was so excited to find lavendar candy melts at JoAnn's this weekend I had to do something with them.

Chocolate cupcakes
1 and 2/3 cup sugar - always the best ingredient to start with.
3/4 cup melty butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup cake flour
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 and 1/2 cup milk
Bake 350 F for 18 - 20 minutes. Decorate.
